Director Janak Khadka was honored by the President at Shital Niwas

Kathmandu: A renowned film director and journalist Janak Khadka was granted an esteemed honor for his outstanding contributions in spreading the message of 'Yuga Kavi' Siddhicharan Shrestha In a grand ceremony held at the President's Office Shital Niwas on the 5th of June 2023. The event, which marked the 112th birth anniversary and 31st memorial day of 'Yuga Kavi' Siddhicharan, was graced by the presence of the Honorable President Ram Chandra Paudel.

During the ceremony, President Paudel presented Janak Khadka with a letter of appreciation in recognition of his dedicated efforts to promote the works and legacy of Yugakavi Siddhicharan. The esteemed director was also awarded a cash prize of twenty-five thousand rupees, acknowledging his significant role in amplifying the reach and impact of Nepali art and literature.

 

Expressing his gratitude, Janak Khadka humbly accepted the honor and expressed his deep sense of responsibility. He emphasized the influence of his close association with literature, stating that it has continually inspired him to further contribute to the Nepali artistic landscape.

 

The prestigious Yugakavi Siddhicharan Award 2080, established by President Ramchandra Paudel, was also presented during the event. This year, the esteemed award was conferred upon Professor Dr. Jayaraj Acharya in recognition of his invaluable contributions to the realm of literature. Alongside the distinguished honor, Dr. Acharya received a generous cash prize of one lakh rupees and a certificate commemorating his remarkable achievements.
